Modifying surface treatments

In this section, you will learn how modify surface treatments.

In the costing24 toolbar, click on Settings.
In the Surface treatment section, click on a surface treatment method in the Name column, e.g. Chromium coating.

Surface treatment data is displayed.
In the Active field, specify if the surface treatment should be available for the calculation of parts in costing24 (optional).
In the Price per kg and Surface price fields, specify the values for the prices that a surface treatment should cost per kilogram and per surface (optional).

Note: The surface price is prioritized over the price per kilogram if both values are specified.
In the Setup costs field, specify a value for the costs of the setup of surface treatments (optional).
In the Minimal price/piece field, specify a value for the minimum price assumed per unit (optional).

Note: The prices specified in the Minimal price/piece field is used for the calculation of the surface treatment if the calculated price per piece based on the price per kilogram or surface price is lower than the one specified in this field.
In the Minimal price/lot field, specify a value for the minimum price per lot (optional).

Note: The price specified in the Minimal price/lot field is used for the calculation of the surface treatment if the price of the lot based on the price per kilogram or surface price is lower than the one specified in this field.
In the Material group field, specify one or more material groups for which the surface treatment should be available to select in the drop down list (optional).
Click on Done.
Click on Apply.
Click on Done.

You successfully modified the surface treatment data.

Note: In the Surface treatments section in the Name column, the asterisk character * indicates that the surface treatments were modified.
